It was 3:40 am and the number that flashed on the mobile phone was not from India... "wrong number" was my first thought.

The voice on the other line, from other side of the world, California, came straight to the point. His father was admitted in a Hospital in AS Rao Nagar and needed O+ Platelets immediately. The count had fallen to Zero while it should be in thousands!!

The Son works for Oracle in California and after many futile attempts got to know from somebody that the Sai Organisation could possibly be the only one to get a donor at that point in time of the night.

There was no time to waste....I was in Bengaluru but there was no reason to fear...I immediately logged on to our online donor database and searched for names... the first was not able to pickup the call. The second one, Arvind from Boenpally responded immediately and without any apprehension was ready to go.

When we spoke to the wife of the patient we learned that he was being shifted to another Hospital in Jubilee Hills as the condition was very critical. We immediately logged on to the database again and searched for someone who lived closer to that area. Anand was the name and when called his response was immediate again. By around 4:30am Anand was on the way to the Hospital. Arvind was on standby in case they wanted more.

The process of taking the Platelets out of blood is long. Anand was there in the Hospital till about 10:30 AM and later went to office. Undoubtedly, it was Swami's Grace at work.

You will recall that like last year we will have the Youth Piligrimage to Prasanthinilayam on the 20/21/22/23rd of June 2009.

The Piligrimage will have youth teams from both boys and girls categories.

This programme will have youth inspiring sessions in the day time and expert speaker sessions in the night

For this meet,the Organisation has fixed it at 50 persons from each district.Meaning 25 boys and 25 girls.

Out of this number 20 in each category should be first timers so to say new members preferably college going/graduates/post graduates/professionals etc.5 in each category will be from the existing youth groups..

In order to set the agenda of this programme in June-the organisation is conducting a regional pre-meet on this Sunday the 22nd of March 2009 at Sivam begining at 8.30 am for the Girls contingent.This is likely to conclude by 2 pm.

The AP State boys category youth leaders meet is going to be in Prasanthinilayam on the Ugadi day, the 28th of March 2009 at 10.30 am.

In this context all the conveners and the concerned mahila youth members of the city are hereby informed to come to Sivam to participate in the Mahila youth Sunday programme at Sivam.

The purpose is to chalk out a working plan of the Agenda for the proposed youth Piligrim meet on 18/19/20/21st of June 2009.

This programme is for the youth leaders of each district chaired by the State President Dr.Anjanaiah garu.

Sri Anjanaiah garu requests and expects the Hyderabad youth members to take a lead in suggesting the theme and propose appropriate ideas for the sucessful implementation.

I request the Hyderabad youth members at least three or four to attend this meet.

Hope you are doing well with Swami's Infinite Grace.

Swami has said that chanting Rudram in todays times is essential for peaceful coexistence at individual and community level. In line with His Command there is a plan to chant Rudram as a group....

When: 15 March

Where: BHEL

What: Rudram will be chanted for 3 hours continuously (more information/agenda items will follow)

Do not be disappointed if you cannot chant Rudram completely, you can still join and learn along the way.

The plan is to go to BHEL on Saturday night (14 Mar) itself. If that is not possible then you can join the next morning by 5:00 am.

If you are interested to take part in this unique activity please call Pavan Kondapally @ 09866760007 immediately. Based on the number of people wanting to attend food and other arrangements will have to be made.

FREE DESIGNING COURSE INAGURATION - BRIEF HIGHLIGHTS

It was yet another inspiring event for many of us to be part of Free Designing Course offered by Sai Youth of Himayath Nagar yesterday at City Central Library conference hall. Swamy's direction behind this programme and blessings for such initiatives has been a great source of inspiration for Sai Youth.This time almost every News Paper published news item of this programme very prominently...some of them did it two times as well

There was a scroll in Bhakthi Channel/ announcement in AIR as well

The Chairman of City Central Library Sri Srinivas Yadav offered the facilities free of cost...just knowing this SSSSO ProgrammeOur CA.KK Gupta garu and scores of others came forward and offered their own computers(12Nos) for setting up the computer labOur CA.Nagaraj from the youth group offered all the furniture for the computers.Premasai Hall at Himayathnagar usually used as Bhajan Hall being transformed in to a LAB for building the lives for next 60 days.Brothers Ravindra( IBM), Srinivas(Genpact), Bhasker( Msc.,BEd), Vishnu ( 1BE),Swarna (Professional) etc., and scores of others playing prime role in this project...all of them new to the system of SSSSO...Youth Group as well our Pandu...very caringly offered all the hard ware support for setting up the lab.

There were about 200+ unemployed youth who participated in the intro session yesterday...representation of all the 23 dis could be seen.DP/GSTPresident/DSC/DYC/Samithi Convenors all were there during the programme.Srikar(imaging solutions) Rajesh(srinivasa art printers) offered their services as faculty for 60days...they spoke to the people

our SIVAM Sunil (CEO - Print Mind) was there talking about the opportunities for designers

Prashanth ( Computer Basics Student) was a special attraction for the participants.PS.Nagaraj & Co arranged very heavy snacks for all the participants...

though every one who registered for the programme looks very doubting initially...by the time it was finished...all were in tears...understanding our love to them...it was a real sight to see for all the SSSSO teams there...almost 10 participants spoke in the conclusion...every one were inspired to change their life styles...even if they are not being selected today in the screening...such was their connectivity for the programme.

Bala was there connecting to the people with his SSSSO,HMngr was there to support all the event as a back bone.It was our Brother Nagender who was silently conceived an IDEA of Designing Course for the last 3 months with his observations and surveys...today he is feeling very happy to note that he could see swamy's Blessings in every move now.Sr Youth Brother Gangadhar( Ring Raju) along with Satya, Vinod, Ravi, Somu, Sathyendra, venu, Jagannath ,praveen, Kishore, Sarath, Balakrishna etc.,to be seen as source of admiration for the local youth there...

Going Forward...today we have screening test which is starting from 3 pm evalution of Concepts Sheets / test papers to be done about 5/8 interview panels required to screen the participants.Serving teams are needed to day during the programme many sr brothers needed for interviewing the candidates.

Today our Musician Sridhar(Chain) came forward to offer his music for the participants

we need lab assistants for the next 60 days programme( 11-1pm & 2-4 pm)

we need mentors for the 50 participants.We need to have some one who can document entire event for our records known people in the designing/printing industry need to visit this lab and talk to the participants.There may many more seva opportunities...if some one wanted to be part of this sacred event...please join hands...

Let hearts melt seeing the fate of hundreds of unemployed youth...let it motivate us to do good work...as GOD himself commanded us to engage ourselves in such activity...which is very dear to HIM.

REPROGRAMMING OUR LIVES-A DAY WITH BOYS

Dear Brothers,and sisters,Sairam and good day

Not many would have seen the programme at Sivam on Sunday the 13th of July 2008-It is all about Reprogramming lives of every one. This has been a very special and touching activity designed and executed by our Hyderabad youth groups.It is not a one day job,they had to work many months before they could launch this activity in May.

It all started with the kind and generous permission granted by our Sri A.Ranga Rao garu and the prayers to our beloved Swami by our boys followed by their efforts in pooling and mobilizing the resources and systematic follow up thereafter.Our computer guys like Sri Sreepada,Gangadha Sarma,Sreedhar,Pavan, Naveen,Satheyendra and a number of guys spent many deep nights to get this going.Remember it is not easy-it is hard to come out like that in the software world business.

Similarly at Saroornagar Convner Vasudeva Rao took lot of interest and pain to get his end on the subject going.Sri Vinay has evinced keen interest in training the boys with Sri Naveen.They spent a lot of their time and resources in this project. Of course there has been full fledged back by our A- team comprising, Sri Y.Srinivas,Sai Gollapudi,Balachandra,Ramana Reddy and Gopikrishna.The Samithi conveners and unit in-charges support has been the main stay in understanding and providing the logistics and selection etc,

The Kitchen staff members were outstanding in providing good meals every day! Sri Pattabhi is one of the guys who bears all that but says nothing!But simply helps with all that is required. You may be wondering why am I taking these names after all?This is to invite all the other guys to come and join us and enjoy this great mission of the Lord. You will be simply missing if you do not at least come and witness as to what is going on...

It is amazing to see the Hyderabad boys and elders in Men and women going week after week to the villages- organizing,serving the village folk in so many ways and coming back satisfied and feel happy that they are in HIS mission. I was delighted to see and enjoy our MC Balachandara at his best with our Ramachnadra,Sreepada,Sreedhar Sarma,Sathyendra,Vinay taking over the programme-I was very pleased to hear the applause from our elders in the audience. I begin to learn -given freedom and responsibility-how well they organised-The stage decoration was simply superb!

The seniors and elders were simply very happy and aprreciated the efforts of the boys in staging this programme-Swami's blessings all the way to them. Incidentally, you will wonder- why am not describing what happened on 13th morning at Sivam? Fortunately this time it is Sri Mullapudi our brother who will address this appropriately.I am happy, he tells me ,but for my mail he would not have come!-This shows my mails are working for some at least and am sure many soonest- to witness and enjoy this programme and many more to come!

It is amazing that he has taken notes and wrote the report as well...Now it is time that I stop here! and you read, enjoy and call us back--if you like it!

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT AT HABSHIGUDA

Saturday /Sunday would be a relaxing experience for many...as its a week end...there is no office for many...lot of time to spare for the family...big time to pass it on watching TV/Movie... But its some thing else for 25 youngsters of Sai Org, Hyd...as they all decided to spare some value added time at Habsiguda TrafficSignals... They just came out from their offices...business houses...colleges...but yet very enthusiastic to take up some activity for the benefit ofcommunity around...

Recapitulating what Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Varu has been telling them...LOVE ALL: SERVE ALL. They controlled traffic from 4 pm to 8 pm under the supervision of traffic police.The experience was unique as every commuter passing through the streets patted the efforts of youth.

Many elders who had seen this blessed our brothers for doinga good jobThe police officer supervised this effort,requested us to come every week end. Like this the Sai Youth of Hyderabad initiated assisting the traffic policeat at 3 places now for the past 4 weeks every Saturday at Dilsukhnagar, Mehidipatnm and Habsiguda.

GURUPOORNIMA SERVICE AT PARTHI

When the moon is at its perfect round spreading its cool over minds that are agitated by the world and by the worldly…and, at dawn when the Sun slowly emerges from the eastern horizon beaming its brilliant splendour over Prasanthi Nilayam, thousands of devotees with one prayer and one attention invoking the Guru of all gurus nay the Lord of all gods against the backdrop of Omkar, Suprabhatam and Vedic chants that sets the stage and tone for the Guru Purnima celebrations at Prasanthi Nilayam.

The day is Pournami in the month of Ashada in the vernacular calendar, 18th July as per Anglican Calendar, most auspicious for the spiritual seeker, the day dedicated to Sadguru. Sai Kulwant Hall beautifully gets decorated with floral buntings and colourful lightings and more than that, by the mere presence of those thousands with prayerful hearts…invoking the Lord and waiting for HIS darshan..

Serving those thousands of prayerful hearts is really a great opportunity which is blessed to Hyderabad Youth by Our Beloved Swami with immense grace once again in the Canteen.

Let us all grab this opportunity with both the hands...

YOUTH PILIGRIMAGE TO PRASANTHI

The youth groups of Andhra Pradesh comprising 1075 boys and 503 girls are back to their nests after a wonderful five day pilgrimage in the Divine abode from 25th to 29 of June 2008. Perhaps we had the opportunity to enjoy and witness many things for the first time to the best of my memory.

It is for the first time that boys and girls had the combined programmes session in the conference exhibition hall in Prasanthinilayam.By His grace we could get this for all day and night sessions. It is also for the first time there has been such attendance and programmes tailor made for the present day youth,in terms of content,presentation and most of all interaction session.

The presentations were unique to touch the audience.There were some skits by the ladies team as well.Sri Gollapudi,Sri Srinivas,Sri Ravi Sreepada provided the materials,content,presentation and technical back up.Sri Blachandra filled the spaces with interesting incidents and values.The presentation on light bulb concept and seva Subbaiah were appealing and humorous too! The message is loud and clear- having born we should be glowing and serving appropriately at the right time and place that is useful to the society, otherwise we could be as useless as the fused bulb. The presentation of Chittoor team on "AMMA" was outstanding rousing emotions.

Each day a presentation coordinator was nominated from visiting Districts-as in Nalgonda,Khammam and Chittoor for conducting the day affairs. The coordinators and the audience also provided their feed back.

We could have two hour session in the morning and two hour sessions in the evening by the Ashram speakers in Prof Anil Kumar,Dr,Muduigonda Veerabhadraiah garu and Dr. Anjanaiah garu.We had the fortune of listening to Sri Sairaju a former IAS specialist in rural development and educational service.Some of his practical sessions were outstanding. Further we had practical hints and experience with Swami by Smt Vasumathi Devi garu the State Services coordinator and also Ashramite.This has been an emotional and practical need based presentation touching the audience. Sri SG.Chalam also spoke on how Bhagawan has been so gracious and generous in providing all necessary arrangements well in advance for our group to enjoy their stay and carry home the pleasant experience and bliss.

We had the bonus opportunity to participate in the RAMAYANA SAPTHAHAM from24th to 28th of June both in the morning and evening sessions in the presence of our beloved Swami. Interestingly we recognized that this is the first time that all devotees too had the opportunity to witness and participate in the Sahasrarchna puja on all three days and also Pattabhishekamahostavam on 28th June.This has been a feast to the eyes indeed. Our Boys and girls had the opportunity to serve/distribute Prasadam on the 28 th June in Kulwant hall to the hearts content to one and all limit less. We had the opportunity to listen to Discourses on Ramayana in the afternoon by eminent speakers in Telugu to the delight of our AP contingent. It is perhaps for the first time we were served food even after 2 pm after our sessions by special arrangement at the canteen for so may of us.

There has been exchange of information and contact details for further follow up after the sessions. There was a session on SSS VIP programme carried out by the Hyderabad group as an example to illustrate, -Dr.Krishnakumar and Sri Gopikrishna shared their experience.as to how it is being executed. The other Districts also are in full swing in the state at different stages of implementation. There was a combined meeting on 29th morning exclusively for the District Presidents,coordinators of the state with the Gramaseva President Sri Srinivas,and State President Dr.Anjanaiah garu,Sri SG.Chalam,Smt Vasumathi Devi garu. This was to find out problems related to nomination of youth leaders in districts and as to how to motivate and mobilize new active members and to sustain the forces. Opinions were sought from the audience and were recorded for further action.

The SP briefly explained once again the concept of SSS VIP and requested the format reports by the Guru poornima at least. He discussed on the role of Gramaseva trust and requested to focus on Agro and training services to the needy village folks.He wanted the expertize generated from Hyderabad to be also shared to the other places in the state. This pilgrimage has brought enormous interest among the young and old and has given a never before feeling to all the participants.We hope and trust that this exchange will definitely pave a way for progress and growth in the way our beloved Swami wanted it. At the end Sri Chalam and Dr Anjanaiah garu lauded the efforts of the programme coordinators in Sri Ramana Reddy and Kumari Sai Aruna for their efforts in organizing this programme by their sincere and honest hard work with love and grace.

Let us all pray for HIS guidance and blessings! Thanks,our love and high regards for all those who have relentlessly worked towards the success and joy of this event.

Youth meet in Sivam – 01 June 08

We had a wonderful day with the youth members this morning.Each one of them excelled the other in their presentations. -very sincere attempt indeed!Right from the start it was good and refreshing!

Sri Ravikiran handled nicely and pleasantly all the way!-Sathyprasad presented well on info tech/computer training-Dr KK was good with subject and green land humor-YC was absolute on the target with the right content- Sathyendra presented the traffic management interestingly and impressively with pictures and public feed back!-Sri Saikrishna reddy with His miracles and contact with Swami which was well taken by the audience-Sri Vishnu vardhan delivered on the point with full content-Gopi nailed with right weight hammer to the context and point.The Dhoni boy also did his part at the right time to the waiting audience.

Excellent programme that one can do with in 2 and half hours.It had all the ingradients like-The purpose of the meet--expectations- -the present services on roll-the results obtained--Swami' s love for people and ever concerned aspect-love of service-interesting interactions with swami-Miracles outstanding- sevadal security needs-what we need to do?- duty and need of the hour- opportunities and how one can know what is happening?
