Dear All,

Loving Sai Rams to you.

A Tailoring Training centre was established by SSSVIP workers of Hyderabad District, in Venkatapuram village, on 03 Apr 09. Two mahila instructors trained in tailoring, will be conducting, the first regular 10 to 6, three month training programme, for 40 village mahilas. Our Organisation has donated 4 Sewing machines and 40 Tailoring training kits to the students of the first batch. We would also be paying the Instructors a salary of Rs 2000.00 per month each for conducting the classes. These instructors are from the Venkatapuram village itself.

Subsequently another team visited Veerareddipalli village the same day to calculate as to how many Amrutha Kalasams were needed to be given to the really poor & needy villagers. Amrutha Kalasams are monthly sustenance rations donated by the Organisation for BPL villagers – villagers living Below the Poverty Line. The Team came to the conclusion that at the most, two or three villagers may require Amrutha Kalasams, and even they were marginal cases.

The Team also visited a paddy field having very healthy, rich, lush green, crops, about to be harvested, and promising to yield double the previous crop output. We have been able to achieve doubling of agricultural output in a majority of land holdings in all the 11 SSSVIP villages, because of supply of high yielding paddy seeds and proper management of fertilizers and pesticides by our SSSVIP agricare team.

Another reason for the better yield is the installation of insect catchers in the fields by our SSSVIP workers. These nets are scientifically designed to capture insects. This in turn prevents breeding of fresh insects. The number of fresh insects thus gets drastically reduced, improving the health of the crops and crop yields. A very large number of such Insect catchers have been donated by our Organisation to all the 11 SSSVIP villages.
