On the 14th of March we were in Cheepununthal situated in Mehaboobnagar district and also in Nagasanipalli in Ranga reddy District.

By the Divine will we had Sri Naren,Sri Aaashish and Sri Prudhvi from the VASPER GREEN TECHNOLOGIES LTD of Bangalore

The purpose was to select and evaluate the strength, interest of the respective folks in to setting up a small industry or job work in to make their lives better and productive.

We targeted mostly the poor direction less, hopeless, unsupported women folk of each village.

1.Sri Eswaraih presented the opportunities in his factory in Kawakurthy to the young girl trainees- and his intention to provide and transfer a chunk of the job work to these women folk right on to their door step on a continuous basis all through the year. This could provide Rs1200 to 2500 every month to every girl that participates while sitting at home. Our Mahilas have been asked to collect names of the prospective candidates for this employment opportunity. We hope and pray that this effort will fructify.

2.The Vasper Technology members presented the Paper honey comb project and offered the know how, feed stock and intention to buy back the finished product. They will be also paying Rs 125 per head per day to the selected 25/30 persons in each village. This offer and subject has provided enormous interest in the women folk. They also will be providing the equipment at nominal deposit of Rs 1000 per person. How ever those that intend to break away in the middle or at any time can do so by returning the equipment and receive the deposit in full. This will provide to every person Rs 3000/3200 per month on a regular basis by doing the work and earning by being at home.
How ever they need to adhere to the quality and quantity norms and be subjected to inspection and regular strict quality checks by their and our members.
The respective team leaders of Cheepununthala in Sri Vasudeva rao,Sri Subramaniam,Sri Narasimha Reddy,Sri Sarma were present along with Mahila coordinator Smt Anuradha garu and her other Mahila members and men members.

Our team comprising Dr.Krishna Kumar,Sri Ramana Reddy,Sri Ravindra,Col Sundar were present all the way supporting the programme.

We next drove to Nagasanipalli in Ranga Reddy district which is nearly 90 km from the city.
Here too we had the same kind of programme where Sri Eswaraih the DP of Mehaboobnagar spoke followed by the VASPER GREEN group on similar subject and offer.
The team leaders in Sri Venugopal prasad,Sri P.Venkateswarulu along with Smt Vasudha and Smt Srutha Keerthi garu and other mahilas were present conducting the folks.Sri Balachnadra joined us here.
We instantly could recognise the power and enthusiasm of the women folk and their keen interest to get going in to these ventures soonest they can!

It is very exciting and pleasing to see the presence of our sevadal men and women contingent waiting for us in each village since almost morning. We sincerely apologize for keeping them waiting for so long.I am sorry I have missed several members names in my narration here!

Finally we would like to thank all participants and Sri Ramalinga Sastry of Khadi Udyog and Sri Suryanarayana of TCS for being with us all the time with their support.

Similarly we thank the Vasper team for coming all the way from Banagalore and enjoying this trip and providing the opportunity. Then cutting down the cost of the equipment to Rs 1000 from Rs 5000 a piece by simply participating -and got inspired by the Organisation effort with love towards the poor village folk uplift. They intend to go all out to help us in establishing this facility in all places.

We now having got the feel of this visit and interaction have decided to commence our first venture in Veerareddipalli from April 2009.
We will start operations in other villages one by one as we learn and gain confidence and make sure.

We could see the lit up faces of these folks at the upcoming opportunity and am looking forward to see these poor people with enough resources to brighten their lives hereafter-Our prayers with yours!

Mean while we will be deputing a selected group of 6 supervisors nominated from our sevadal to Bangalore for an on the spot learning and training activity. These members will return to Hyderabad to train the selected village folk. This could be a two day on the job training.
The tailoring job activity will commence as we get the list of the girls from each village.

So also we will be waiting for interested names for other small scale home industries as suggested by the Khadi Gramodyog director Sri Ramalinga Sastry garu.He is ready for any thing we suggest at any time

In any case dear Folks I am looking at your efforts, support and participation in all these ventures.I need a large contingent of youth to take responsibilities of each of these unit set up in each village for us to forge ahead.

The success of these depend upon our sincere efforts, effective follow up and severe quality checks on the output
We should have all these ambitions up and working in all villages by 23rd of November 2009.
Are you with HIM? He is with us!

With Sincere prayers to our Swami for HIS guidance and blessings
I remain with love and regards

Targets for the newly formed SSSVIP Village Committees

Dear Srinivasulugaru

Loving Sai Rams to you.

Now that we have formed Village committees in all the 11 SSSVIP villages (Dilawarpur,Ikkurthy,Veerareddypally,Bahadurpet,Manthapuri,Nagasanipally,Venkatapuram,Mallapur,Cheepununthala,Sarbanapuram and Vartoor),we have to give the Village committees specific targets, so they all start working in that direction .

If we are not target oriented then the initial enthusiasm and euphoria generated during the formation of the village committees would obviously die down and the villagers would get back to their old ways. This time there would be an added frustration of the "Sai Ram people" not being able to guide them. We therefore have to see that they work along specific lines and hence the goal / target oriented approach.

When the village committees start working in their respective villages, towards the improvement of their villages, they are bound to face opposition and obstacles, which they would have to handle on their own, as the average SSSVIP active worker would be available for their moral and physical support, only during the week ends.

Emphasis must therefore be laid on the spiritual development of the villagers first, so that they develop confidence in Swami or God and do not get disappointed / discouraged / frustrated during the course of their village upliftment work and learn to fall back on the Ultimate Supreme Source – our Swami or whichever Ishta Devata they believe in and carry on with their work.

Some suggested targets are attached to this mail for your consideration and for inputs from the SSSVIP active workers please. The targets activity wise (in order of priority) are:

  1. Spiritual Care
  2. Medi Care
  3. Agri Care
  4. Veterinary Care
  5. Employment Care
  6. Education Care
  7. Rural Infrastructure Care

We are planning to bring the village committee members over to Hyderabad, to show them the Prema Jyothi exhibition. This is in itself is a great bestowing of Grace by Swami especially when the Exhibition is taking place so soon after the formation of the Village committees ;as we would be able to expose them to what Swami is and what His powers are .

After they visit the Exhibition, we should bring these committee members (only two Committees a day) to Sivam where targets could be discussed, modified and if possible finalized, in consultation with the SSSVIP leaders of that village. Before we bring these village committee members over to the Prema Jyothi exhibition we should however first discuss the targets with the SSSVIP village Active workers and Leaders and arrive at some workable conclusions.

With lots and lots of love

Mr Wadavi took the trouble of coming and meeting me in my residence on 08 Jan 09, and spent a good three to four hours with me. I gave a Power Point Presentation of our SSSVIP to him. Incidentally I gave the same PP presentation to Shri Sastry also (Presentation prepared for Govt /semi Govt agencies attached) .Shri Wadavi offered all assistance and promised to introduce the CGM (Chief General Manager) of NABARD to us.

Fwd: Gramasabhas in SSS VIP

SRI SATHYA SAI SEVA ORGANISATION-SIVAM-HYDERABAD
6th of January 2009,Tuesday
Dear Brothers and sisters, sairam and good day
In our visits to Villages on GRMASABHA-and nomination of champion teams in each village. There are very interesting stories and episodes. They are very happy alright with our visits and interactions-also expectations and dependency as well-There is hope-despair-jubilant-fear of loosing us-trying to be closer etc.
The men and women folks are enrolling in the village committes now!-They never had such meetings for such a purpose-all new for them.
Some times we wonder as to what next? What can we do to them-we can not be giving goodies all the time-we can not be doing medical camps-supply medicines.we can not be travelling to villages every week after week!
I am not suggesting that we have done enough and that is all-it is true that we have not yet touched on what swami wants us to do?
Door to door visits in right spirit and earnest is still to occur in total.
Not many would know that our teams go to villages every week covering 150 kilometers up and down.
All the 11 teams make around 1700 kilometers a month-you can visualize the cost of fuel and other things that go by.
This is why we need to build up the champion teams in village that take care of their village hence forth-Again this is not as easy as said and done-we need to train them -make them learn the purpose and it is a long and continuous on going journey.
We are surprised so far that not many villagers know where and who is spending money?-they think Bhagawan is sending the resources and we are spending.(Although this is the truth in the Divine plane). It took a lot of time and pain to explain the facts to the village folk that all our members are digging in to their pockets.I am aware that our people have told them many a time the purpose and the goal-but seems to have not reached them as yet!
The Gramasabhas attendance is below expectations in spite of the herculean efforts of our brothers and sisters in motivating them in so many ways known to them-Our people have done a great deal of work in visiting them and even going to each home-but still they do not come out as expected
There are age old traditions as old as 500 years where the men folks have dominated-even now!-They do not come out of the homes in the nights-They can not voice their problems-lest the men folks take them to task when they return home.
They have been living with given situations and got used to that kind of living granted.
How ever we should never loose hope-we should never give it up-the reason is Swami is with us!-HE knows the goal-destination and the purpose.
It appears that drinking water plant (five of them)provision by our organisation has been the greatest boon for them-all of them exceptionally happy to reveal that their health standards have improved-specially the back aches and body pains disappeared?
Some times and many times I wonder whether it is water or grace of GOD that works?
We need to leave such marks behind when we leave them on a day that may not be far?
Like wise-I have a dream-and that is to establish a small micro level type industry in each village we have taken up-at least 100 people in each village must be employed and stay put in their village. This we must do in 2009 and HE will guide us and we need to put our efforts. This will make the village self reliant and supportive.
There are a number opportunities as we are talking to the government agencies now.
What is required is at least 6 members from our city who can lead, committed and and follow it up with me-Are you a game?
We have resources,men,materials,places-but what we need is commitment and meet challenges provided by the Lord Himself.
Another thing we recognised and bothering us is the youth of the villages especially the students who are weak and poor need a back up in terms of tuition's in their weak subjects.Where ever we go they meet us and ask for such provisions-you know that exams are round the corner and they need such help?.If they do not get such support-they loose interest and may drop out or take another negative and attractive rout-which are plenty in waiting!
I appeal to you dear Brothers and Sisters please find out whether we have in our circles able and committed teachers who can go over and impart tuition's to these boys-I am aware it is difficult to go there voluntarily-we can pay them and engage them either from the same village or nearby. We need at least two per village-we have done this in Bahadurpet in fact and is going well appreciated.
Mere going to villages in numbers is not the need of the hour-what we need to do is soild work that helps them to rise their level of living standard in terms of health, hygiene and education and self employment
You know we go to a village and unknowingly or inadvertently promise that we take care of them-but in reality we are missing the connectivity-this can do some damage to our institutions if we can not maintain our credibility.
Thanks for for your patient reading!
Love,regards and thanks

16th of December 2008,Tuesday
Dear Brothers and Sisters, sairam and good day
Here is the time table of our planned visits to the SSS VIP villages begining from Saturday the 20th of December 2008.
We will be commencing from Dilawarpur located in Aleru mandal in Nalgonda district.
I appeal to the concerned team leader and the active members associated with this village to alert the sarpanch Sri Sathyanarayana and the active village youth to be ready to oragnise this programme.
The main focus will be to convey the importance of SSS VIP and appeal to them for participation and also motivate the nominated village youth groups to be named and inducted in to the different categories and responsibilities.
We need to deliver the objectives of our mission, limitation, purpose and mutual responsibilities.
A cultural event scripted by our core group to depict evils of drinking and smoking will be a very effective tool for motivation,if we can do it by then!
Looking forward with love and regards

TECH GROUP 15TH SESSION PROCEEDINGS

LOVE ALL-SERVE ALL AND HELP EVER- HURT NEVER

SRI SATHYA SAI SEVA ORGANISATION

TECHNO E MEDIA GROUP

PROCEEDINGS OF THE 15TH SESSION

HELD ON 20TH OF NOVEMBER 2008

AT PRASANTHI NILAYAM

The session commenced at 10.15 am with three times Om Karam seeking Bhagawan’s blessings.

The attendance was poor in the beginning and later picked up although not adequate enough.

The All India President attended this session and stayed for a couple of presentations and had to leave for another important meeting at the University.

The President was concerned about thin attendance and members not coming on scheduled time for the meeting. He pointed out to members that once a meeting is scheduled it should be attended as a priority over other matters.

He directed the group coordinator to submit a list of nominated members in each state and the participation status.

The group coordinator Sri Srinivasulu, welcomed technology group members and distinguished members from the industry that have come to present their papers.

The Coordinator had briefed the members on the concept and objectives of the Technology group for the benefit of the new comers. He thanked them for their contribution and work that is being carried out at various places in the field of water purification, agro services and sanitation.

He observed that although work is being carried out-reporting is inadequate. He requested the details of the work done with pictures of the projects and beneficiaries. This is required as the TEG is working on production of film on the group activity by the coming guru Poornima in July 2009.

He introduced the various speakers of the day to the audience and commenced the session.

1. ECO- SUSTAINABLE PROJECTS TECHNOLOGIES-By Sri Mario Grzinic

ENVIRON TECH/ENVIRON LIVING.

The first speaker was Sri Mario Grzininc from the eco-sustainable technologies. Sri Mario is an environmental control and management consultant- equipment producer and supplier operating presently from Ponduchery in Tamilnadu.

He has several of the gadgets that are eco friendly and useful for the urban and rural utility.

He has presented some of the equipment like the solar panels made of a variety of reflectors that are extremely efficient and productive compared to the presently available equipment supplied by many companies in India. There are many like the solar panels, generators, chargers, lighting equipment, wind turbines, solar lights eco friendly toilets that does not depend on water flushing.

Our interest from what has been shown is on the vertical turbine model that is most suitable for mounting on the roof top of a village home. We learn that this equipment is made of fiber glass vanes and extremely light, durable and does not require a gear box for speed control. It has practically no maintenance cost.

We learnt that there are several sizes available from 1 kilowatt to 10 kilowatt for various applications. The approximate cost for the lowest range is about Rs One Lac at the current currency exchange rate.

By connecting this turbine to four one watt LED lamps in a single dwelling in a village we can light up 250 homes. This is unbelievable, true and amazing.

Incidentally another speaker Dr.Radhakrishna who happened to be in the meeting had actually brought a sample of the LED assembly and lighted up to show its efficiency to the audience. It actually throws as much as a 25 watt lamp. This costs Rs 150 each-made in Rajahamundry incidentally. He is ready to make these for us.

The other equipment of our interest is the solar street lighting equipment with an aesthetic appearance, light weight and high efficiency and low power consumption for a given luminescence.

It appears that on first thoughts these will be suitable for any remote tribal or agency areas in our SSS VIP locations where power is a problem.

Sri Mario has been asked to be in touch and requested to provide cost and supply details for us to consider for our projects.

2. VASPER GREEN TECHNOLOGIES-PAPER HONEY COMB-Eco friendly

By Sri M.R.Naren-Bangalore

This company produces packing pads from the waste paper and glue. The products such as packing pads of various sizes and applications are made totally with three women and a man combination with simple equipment that requires no electriciaty. The equipment is manually operated. The company is ready to provide raw materials and know how free to our organization and even ready to take back the entire produce.

The speaker Sri MR.Naren who is former white field Alumni said that each person operating this process can earn Rs 100 to 150 a day. A unit like this with four members in a village can earn Rs 12 to 18000 a month. The equipment required for this production costs Rs 2500 a piece and loans can be arranged from banks at 4% interest.

This produce is called Paper Honey Comb packing and a number of samples were shown by Sri Naren. He has also shown some of the samples that are made for partitions and simple furniture parts that are made out of waste paper. He guarantees compression tests and for durability.

In fact he wants us to see his manufacturing unit in Bangalore to get convinced on the opportunities. He is building a house with these materials that can be completed in

Rs 40,000 a unit in three days ready for occupation.

I think we need to see the opportunities it extends in our SSS VIP village cluster village folks on an experimental basis at least in a couple of places with Vaspar Green Technologies know how and assistance.

3. BIO FUELS –RENEWABLE AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES-

By Dr P.Radhakrishna -Director New Technologies-Government of IndiaNew Delhi

.Dr Radhakrishna specialized in bio fuels and technologies that are most needed on a rural situation. He has actually made a study for a period of ten days in prasanthinilayam energy utilization practices at Gokulam, kitchen garbage and heating practices adopted in the canteen.

He says that 400 plus cattle in the Gokulam yields about 6.5 tons of cow dung that can generate 300 cubic meters of bio gas a day for heating or lighting needs. This is equal to 135 liters of diesel or 500 quintals of fire wood or 9 gas cylinders every day costing

Rs 20 lakhs every year. Huge money indeed?

Similarly the vegetable garbage and excess food thrown out on any peak day is about 4 tons which can yield another 300 cubic meters of gas.

He feels that we can convert this into to useful energy for saving the power and fuel bills every month.

He cited an example of heating water for rice preparation in the kitchen where 30C water is heated to 100 C + steam by gas burners which is enormous waste. He suggests heating water from 30 C to 80 C by solar panels installed on the roof top can save enormous fuel and then send this water to heat rice vessels.

He says that government department in his ministry has provision for subsidizing this kind of initiatives and providing loans at 3%.

He emphasized the use of these technologies in rural locations as in our SSS VIP and he is ready to provide his support free of cost any where in India any time.

4. VEDIC AGRO CULTURE by Dr.Selvaraj-Head of Horticulture Research-Tamilnadu Agro University-Ooty

.He has emphasized on the need to farming practices by organic means also termed as Vedic Agricultural practice.

1. Soil condition deteriorates on account of chemicals used in fertilizers, pesticides

2. Cow population declining-neglect of ancient practices

3. Extensive dependence on chemicals leads to ground water contamination.

4.These leading to all kinds of chronic and deadly diseases.

He emphasized the need to realize that the cow and tree are essential fundamental starting points for Vedic agro practice-He says- what the crop needs is water, air, temperature, carbon dioxide and nutrients.

He explained the proportions and combinations of PANCHAGAVAYA/DASAGAVAYA preparation for best yields and quality, quality of the vegetables. He explained on Bio dynamic compost/Vermin compost usages

He also explained on the principles of Pranic and magnetic therapies for the growth and yield as in potatoes and other vegetables.-He showed huge difference in quality and quantity.

Dr.Selvaraj mentioned that they have not been using chemical based products for the past 15 years in their farms. He has excellent results to demonstrate and ready to share the know-how and practices with all concerned.

We recognized that we can adopt some of these practices in our SSS VIP locations.

5. ORISSA FLOOD DEVASTATION AND DISASTER-DAMAGE CONTROL-SWAMI’S GRACE by Sri Sachithananda Mahapatra

Sri Sachithananda Mahapatra is our Orissa Tech group member.

He presented his paper on the recent flood havoc that destroyed a big chunk of Orissa village clusters-The damage caused to human, homes, cattle, crops, roads, drinking water, epedamics etc.

We learn that-37 lakhs people got affected, 8.4 lacks cattle died-6743 villages’ marooned-51417 homes destroyed-1900 roads damaged-cooked food supplied to 10 lakhs-72 deaths occurred.

Bhagawan on coming to know the facts and figures and seeing pictures of disaster- in HIS infinite mercy allotted Rs 10 crores for constructing homes for the poor in Orissa. He has sent the AIP Sri Srinivasan, Sri Kondal Rao and Sri Ramakrishna of L& T for assessment, planning of proper homes for the needy with the support and coordination of the chief secretary of the state

The committee thus formed studied and has evolved a working plan and designs for suitable homes to construct homes on a piece of land measuring 26x36 feet with 304 square foot plinth area comprising a verandah, a room, a kitchen and a toilet. The estimated cost could be around Rs one Lac each.Bhagawan specially instructed the concerned to keep the construction architecture adhere to the cultural practices of the state and India.

Sri Mahapatra has shown the devastation in the form of pathetic pictures taken during that time. He has shown how the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization of Orissa has served 2 lacs of poor that were rendered home less and food less at that time.

6. WATER SHED ESTABLISHMENT-MANAGEMENT AND BENEFITS

By Sri Sunny Babu our group member from East Godavari.AP

He is currently looking after the Flag ship SSS VIP tasks of the 25 villages that have been taken up for service in this district.

He demonstrated and presented how water shed establishment and management can transform the tribal living in to prosperity by cultivating the surroundings with vegetable and kitchen gardens, fruit and flower farms in each home and surroundings.

Although a small beginning is made here, it is along and continuous journey that needs our efforts and HIS grace all the way.

He presented in the picture and fact form the various works that have been taken up in these areas-He has shown how intercrops can be grown and how they need to fence the crops etc.

The aim is to make them self reliant, supportive and provide nutrients for better health and living.

The Group coordinator thanked all the members and requested the speakers to supply their presentations in the CD form for uploading in our web site for the benefit of all our members for reference and follow up

The meeting concluded with shanthi manthram at 12.45 pm.

As directed by the AIP Sri Srinivasan a power point presentation was conducted on 21st of November at the State Presidents meeting at 8 pm in the conference hall.

All the six presentations in brief highlighting the major aspects were shown by the All India TEG Coordinator Sri Srinivasulu to the audience present.

While presenting the programme, he said all the details of these presentations will be uploaded into web site www.srisathyasaitech.org and the

TEG Blog: www.srisathyasaitech.blogspot.com in the first week of December 2008.

The Group coordinator request all concerned to provide the respective sate techno group nominees latest details for updating our records and correspondence.

The Techno group coordinator acknowledges and thanks for the assistance and technical support provided by Sri Ravi Sreepada and Sri Pavan Kondapalli in preparing the power point presentation for the 21st November meeting with the State president and AIP.
